BONAMOUR QUAY
PONTOON "Q"
Bonamour basin, Port of Capbreton, Landes, France

"Just passing through" as the song says ... or "I'm just passing", a well-known idiom. The same angle of view, the window on the harbor, outside day and I watch people pass, pass, pass. They walk, run, pedal, slide, roll or park. They are solitary or in a group, in a hurry or loitering. Behind this incessant ballet, there is movement and life. And equal treatment. The onlooker is king.
Everything is played to the hundredth of a second, without frills or special effects and everything is important from the point of view of the photographer: the color, the posture, the conjuncture and the combination of circumstances.
And there's the funny thing, when you don't expect it, consistent or incongruous.
The unspoken and the off-screen are not far away.
I wanted to show through this series the time that passes with its characters who cross without knowing it in the same place with just a unity of place. Like an endless theatrical performance…

Finally I chose the pontoon Q of the Bonamour quay in Capbreton because it was predestined for good humor and conviviality ...
